Camping Equipment Tips...
Would You Like To Camp, Travel and Live Anywhere in the United States for only $20 a Day?...Click Here to Find Out!Camping Equipment Tips...quality is an important attribute for us. It's important for us to have high quality at a reasonable cost and we're sure you are looking for the same. Since the 70's we've had the opportunity to try out a variety of camping equipment ...it amazes us that there are some "brands" that stand out over time, like: Coleman, Eureka, etc. Now, the task is to combine quality name brands with low costs delivering you, quality and affordable camping equipment with a host of camping equipment tips. Well, we can say that you need not search anymore...YOU can now get Affordable Quality Camping Equipment at various stores. If you plan on purchasing a lot of equipment, make your own package before you buy. As with anything, the more you purchase you're likely to receive a discount.
Oh, we've also scrutinized a lot of camping equipment. We must admit, Sports Authority has quality camping equipment. Sports Authority currently has 202 stores throughout the United States, a well established company with buying power, and provides you with several camping equipment tips. What does that mean? That kind of buying power means savings to YOU!
Some of the savings that you will experience are:
1. No Sales Tax, if you purchase online (sorry if you live in PA or KY you are subject to paying sales tax).
2. Free Shipping (this applies to most of the items and when your order is $99 or more),
3. An Additional 20% OFF the already discounted costs when you order a camping package...incredible adding this to the camping equipment tips. (This is a camping package that you create; i.e.. tent, sleeping bag, stove, etc., it's pretty neat. This is what makes affordable camping equipment for you with high quality that will last for years.)
Let's start creating a camping package, you can design your own Camp Site and save.
Tents: We like the Coleman, as for you it depends on the amount of people you want to put in to the tent. All of the tents are of the highest quality.
Sleeping Bags: The first question is, "what type of camping are you going to do? Is it going to be cold?" We like the mummy bags verses the rectangular bags simply because if it gets cold you can keep the warmth in. The mummy bags have less room at the head area allowing the body warmth to stay in the bag. A rectangular bag lets the air flow in and out much easier, great during warm nights but terrible during those cold spells...add this to your camping equipment tips.
The temperature rating of the bag reflects what kind of temperatures you are camping in. If you are primarily in warm weather consider the Exponent by Coleman. If its cooler weather then try the Downright Alpine or Slumberjack.
We get the warmer bags, if it is too hot it's pretty easy to unzip them and allow the air to flow. It's easier to cool down if it's too hot then it is to warm up if it's too cold.
Camping Stoves: This depends on the amount of people you have to cook for. We like the Coleman 3 burner and Coleman Propane Grill/Stove Combo. Because we have six of us in the family and usually friends camping with us, we want something that will perform. These stoves perform. The combo stove allows the added grill advantage. We like that option for some added variety in our camping equipment than the just the burners.
Lanterns: An essential item to have and often overlooked and a great additional to the camping equipment tips. When the sunsets, it is nice to have some light especially if you are planning on staying up awhile. We like the Coleman Adjustable Liquid Fuel Lantern. We've had one for years and it keeps working. The only draw back is the fuel that you have to purchase and carry around.
If you don't want that added bother check out the propane lanterns. They are good, easy to use and no mess. (We've noticed in higher elevations the propane does not work as well as the fuel...)
Don't forget a flashlight. The Coleman 3-D Nightstand Flashlight is durable and shines a strong beam of light. But nearly any small, compact flashlight will work. Get a quality light and it will last for years. While transporting the flashlight, reverse the batteries, if the light should accidentally turn on, the batteries will not run low...great addition to the camping equipment tips.
Cooler: The Igloo 42 Quart Wheelie Cooler has performed greatly for us. Even the Kids can roll this one around. We do like the Coleman Power Chill Thermoelectric Cooler too. We don't need ice or ice packs anymore. We like this added advantage with our camping equipment tips rather than carrying around the "ice packs".
First Aid Kit: An often overlooked item. We use the Adventure Medical Kit and add additional items as needed. Put some of the Insect Repellent Lotion in it too. Once you have the basics you can always add to it, including any of your camping equipment than purchasing a new kit. Include some natural Peppermint Soap, it is natural, organically safe and additionally serves as a mosquito repellent.
Camping Accessories: Don't forget to get a ground cloth for your tent. This will save on the life of your tent and help keep you dry in the event of a rain shower. Oh, tent stakes. You need to get some extras.
A Spartan Folding Chair is an additional luxury. My wife loves sitting in the chair, reading. I like dozing in the chair. The Kids...well they could do without. They can't sit long enough to enjoy it. .
The Coleman Folding Table makes the campsite when there are no picnic tables nearby. Get one, you'll be glad you did.
Camping Bed: There were the days when we use to just throw our sleeping bags on the ground and sleep. Not the best way to get some good needed sleep. We use the Coleman King Size Quick Bed. It will also keep you dry in the event any water should get into your tent. The Kids use the Coleman Double. They love it. It also doubles as a trampoline. The Kids love jumping on the beds.
Now that you have all of the necessary and affordable camping equipment just one added thing...use it! We've camped for years, loved every minute of it. The most important is the good memories that we take with us, the good memories of one another.
There are countless places to use your equipment as you travel throughout Northwest and other destinations. As noted above, The Sports Authority offers some great saving; however, check out your other local places like Wal-Mart too. Ask individuals for their camping equipment tips, use someone's experiences too. If you purchase quality it's likely to stay around for years.
