Coupeville Washington...is waiting for you
Coupeville Washington is nestled along the coastline of Whidbey Island. This beautiful little quaint town was founded in 1852
by Captain Thomas Coupe. It is the second oldest town in the State of Washington.
Coupeville Washington is the home to the Island County Historical Society. Here you'll find the historical museum and you have the opportunity to walk along the historic wharf. All the surroundings are in
a natural setting with forests protruding upwards from the shoreline, Bald Eagles soaring above, sealing paying homage to the cove and deer strolling about the town.
This little quaint town is great for shopping too, granted there aren't hundred's of shops but the ones there make it hard to resist passing by. While enjoying a shopping spree you'll pass by several buildings listed in the National Historic Register, over 100. Coupeville is a jumping off point for some fabulous Northwest adventures. The nearby Ala Spit offers a panoramic ocean and mountain views and if you like birds, a wonderful place for bird watching. Head
over to Joseph Whidbey State Park, here you'll find the spectacular views of the
Strait of Juan de Fuca, including the San Juan Islands. Fort Ebey State Park is nearby too and hosts a series of hiking trails, beach walks and simply the perfect place to absorb the Pacific Northwest. All of this is located in the heart of Whidbey Island. The island is some sixty miles long and ten miles wide. Coupeville is easily accessible by car from Anacortes or a scenic ferry ride from Port Townsend to Coupeville,
or you can enjoy the ferry ride from Everett to Langley (located on the southern
portion of the island). Coupeville and Langley are the primary destinations for a quaint setting.
