Cruise Travel Insurance
Is it necessary to have cruise travel insurance? We think so. Why? Things happen in life, to you, or in this case, a cruise company. You could get sick or receive a new job offer that prevents you from taking the cruise that you booked and paid for. So what do you do? You have cruise insurance to mangae the "what if's". Typically, the insurance is going to cover you if you should default on the cruise and/or if the cruise line should default and not sail. You've left holding the ticket with no cruise travel and at a loss of thousands of dollars. But thanks to the insurance you've covered and depending upon the policy will receive a reimbursement. Also, cruise travel insurance can cover you for sickness while on the cruise or abroad. You may already have health insurance but this additional coverage can leave you more at ease. Also, your current health insurance may not work outside of the country while your cruise travel insurance will work, depending upon the policy. When you're ready to purchase cruise insurance we recommend that you purchase the insurance from an insurance company. The cruise line or travel agency will promote their line of cruise travel insurance; however, you'll typically get better rates and better coverage when you purchase directly through an insurance company. Cruise lines offer cruise insurance as another line of business revenue. They are not insurance experts, therefore, it only makes sense to purchase the insurance from an insurance agency. After-all, cruise lines are experts in cruises and insurance companies are experts in insurance, would you purchase a cruise from an insurance company? Probably not, so why would you purchase cruise insurance from a cruise line or travel agency. Check out a Cruise Travel Insurance at the Trip Insurance Store, you'll have a host of insurance companies to compare costs, and if you have questions, you can get expert advice.
