Where is all of this taking place?...Yep, the Oregon Beaches. The Oregon Beaches have long been known for their natural beauty and great beach vacations. Recently, over the past 100 years or so, man has included some more amenities to make your great beach vacation more enjoyable like: swimming pools, shops, restaurants, hotels and the like.

As Tour Operators we've had the privilege of enjoying great beach vacations all over the world. Granted, each beach vacation has its highlights; however, the Oregon Beaches have Diversity!...you'll want to be a part of that.

Beach Hop...

You can literally "Beach Hop" the entire Oregon Coast. No one beach is the same and there are a lot of them: Seaside, Cannon Beach, just to name a couple. You can select your own accomodations and if you'd prefer you can camp for your great beach vacation.

Organize Your Own Beach Vacation...

After years of planning and conducting various tours we recommend that you simply organize your own customized great beach vacation. It's fun and gives you the flexibility in your itinerary to meet your needs, desires and wants. You'll have more fun, because you've created it and you'll save money.

Make Your Itinerary...

This is an idea of how we would make an itinerary for ourselves or even large groups. Keep things simple while planning and follow these key points:

1. Figure out the dates of travel, i.e., when you want to depart and return from your great beach vacation.

2. Review the Oregon Coast Mile by Mile or another destination you plan to have your great beach vacation.

3. Note the interesting places you want to visit along your great beach vacation.

4. Calculate how much time you want to stay at each great beach vacation location. This can be tricky. A rule of thumb is to plan more time than anticipated.

Your Oregon Great Beach Vacation Itinerary...

Day 1

3:00 p.m. Arrive at Portland Oregon International Airport.

4:00 p.m. Pick up car rental.

4:30 p.m. Depart for Astoria, Oregon via Hwy 30 follow the Columbia River.

6:00 p.m. Stop for dinner inroute.

8:00 p.m. Arrive at Astoria, check-in at pre-arranged lodging.

9:00 p.m. Explore Astoria by night or review next days travel plans.

Day 2

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

9:00 a.m. Check-out, depart to explore Astoria, museums, etc.

12:30 p.m. Lunch - many great restaurants to chose from.

1:30 p.m. Depart to Fort Stevens, stop at Fred Meyer and pick-up picnic supplies.

3:00 p.m. Depart Fort Stevens, head south on 101 to Seaside.

3:45 p.m. Arrive at Seaside pre-arranged lodging.

4:30 p.m. Explore Seaside by car, just to get a feel for the town.

5:30 p.m. Park the car at lodging and stroll the town area or beach.

7:00 p.m. Dinner at one of the many restaurants, there are lots of them.

8:00 p.m. Explore Seaside by night.

Day 3

8:00 a.m. Breakfast

9:00 a.m. Take the Promenade Hike along the beach and through town.

12:30 p.m. Lunch, either a restaurant or picnic lunch.

1:30 p.m. Stroll the town shops, outlet mall.

7:00 p.m. Dinner at Seaside restaurant.

8:00 p.m. Stroll the beach.

Day 4

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

9:00 a.m. Check-out and depart for Cannon Beach.

9:30 a.m. Check-in at pre-arranged lodging at Cannon Beach.

10:30 a.m. Explore Cannon Beach by car.

11:30 a.m. Park vehicle at lodging.

12:00 Noon Stroll the beach area.

1:00 p.m. Lunch, local restaurant.

2:00 p.m. Stroll the town, shops, museums. Lounge on beach, participate in beach activities, i.e., Kite Festival, Sand Castles.

6:00 p.m. Dinner

7:00 p.m. Local entertainment.

Day 5

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

9:00 a.m. Hike the beach to the Hay Stack. You can either do the long or short hike. Take a picnic lunch.

2:00 p.m. Depart Cannon Beach for Tillamook, Stop at viewing point along the way. Review the Oregon Coast, mile by mile.

6:30 p.m. Arrive Tillamook and check-in at pre-arranged lodging.

7:30 p.m. Dinner

8:30 p.m. Explore Tillamook by night.

Day 6

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

9:00 a.m. Check-out.

9:30 a.m. Tillamook Cheese Factory.

11:00 a.m. Tillamook Light House

12:30 p.m. Lunch

1:30 p.m. Depart for Portland Oregon International Airport area via Hwy 6 and Hwy 26. Stop at scenic sites along the way.

6:30 p.m. Arrive Portland area, pre-arranged lodging.

7:30 p.m. Dinner.

8:30 p.m. Explore Portland Oregon by night.

Day 7

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

9:00 a.m. Check-out.

9:30 a.m. Arrive car rental return.

10:00 a.m. Check-in for flight

11:00 a.m. Depart for HOME.

Side Note...

If you are a small group your itinerary can be very flexible; however, if you have a large group it's best to stick with your pre-arranged itinerary. If not, you will experience yourself attempting to please everyone. You'll get frustrated and ultimately will not enjoy your great beach vacation.
