Orcas Island has it's own unique romantic setting. You'll want to plan well in advance to reserve a camping spot at this spectacular park. You also have the opportunity to hike in to a campground at Obstruction Pass, that has limited facilities.

If you're visiting by boat you'll have several marinas to choose from: Deer Harbor, Orcas Landing, West Beach Resort and Bartwood Lodge. They are have facilities and welcome you.

You can get to Orcas Island by way of the Washington State Ferry System, private boat or small plane. The ferry will bring you right into Orcas Landing. This is a quaint village lined with an array of interesting small shops. It's ideal to browse around, absorb the scenic beauty and visit the unique boutiques.

Transportation

You can access the Orcas Island via Washington State Ferries, walk on or bring your vehicle. Also, you have the option to fly in, either by a land light aircraft or a float plane. We like the romantic setting of arriving by float plane. It gives a complete different perspective, looking from above at the surrounding scenes and viewing your romantic resort nestled in such awe-inspiring beauty...Wow!

You can get you to your destination by private float or land plane. We'll get you all the details. Also, consider having a romantic dinner at one of the resorts, only arrive by float plane. You'll fly out of the Seattle area, enjoy some fabulous scenic views from above, eat a magnificent romantic dinner, then return to the Seattle area. If your time is limited this is a great option.
