Top 4 Oregon Waterfalls...
Oregon waterfalls are numerous and spectacular. Due to the
variety of weather, from the coastal rains to the dry barren grounds of Eastern
Oregon, there's a waterfall that will take your breath away.
We've categorized the Oregon Falls in a Top 4 listing. There are
hundreds of waterfalls throughout Oregon, therefore, we'll focus on the most
spectacular.
Top 4 Oregon Waterfalls...
- Watson Falls - plummets some 272 feet over a cathedral style
looking cliff. The best vantage point is near the base of the falls.
You'll cross over a foot bridge, however, keep going t get the best view, it's
just a few more minutes. There's a nice bench to take a needed rest and
enjoy the splendid romantic view.
Getting there...From Interstate-5, take the Roseburg exit to Highway 138.
Head east on 138 towards Crater Lake. Drive 2.2 miles past Toketee Lake
along S.R. 138 to the Fish Creek Road number 37. Turn right onto 37
heading south. Continue about 0.2 miles to the Watson Falls Picnic
Ground. Follow the Watson Falls Trail number 1495.
- Sahalie Falls - descends some roaring 140 feet making an incredible
torrential splash. You can spend some quality time at this beautiful
waterfall.
Getting there...From Interstate-5, take the Albany exit and follow Highway 20
east. At the Junction of Highway 20 and Highway 126, head south on
Highway 126. Drive 5-miles and take the turn-off at the point of
interest sign.
- Salt Creek Falls - is a little gem in the South Cascades,
plummeting some 286 feet into a spectacular gorge. These falls are just
waiting for you.
Getting there...Just south of Eugene, exit from Interstate-5 onto Highway 58
heading east. When you reach Oakridge you'll drive an additional
21-miles. Park at the Salt Creek Falls turnout, there's a nice picnic
area and fabulous views of the falls.
- Bridal Veil Falls - spills some 249 feet in a beautiful aurora.
It's beauty is soft and beckoning the romantics to look in wonder.
Getting there...follow Interstate 84 east out of Portland. Take the
Troutdale exit, number 17 follow the Scenic Highway to Bridal Veil Falls.
