2006 was an unforgettable year! It's DAY 25 of Rain!!! When will it stop. The ground is extremely saturated, moss is abound, gutters clogged and puddles galore. It's now 1/12/06 and we have our measurable amount of rain to shoot towards the record. I wonder what we'll win if we beat the record?..a boat? As of 1/11/06, we're at 24 consecutive days of rain. That means we're now tied for the 3rd longest streak. If we can hold out for some 33 days we'll beat the all-time high of rainy days set back on 1953. As of today, there seems to be no end in sight, the clouds keep swooping off the Pacific Ocean. What does all this wet weather mean? Some refer to it as global warming caused from human activity; however, we look at the earth as a dynamic body, it's in constant change so it's inevitable that we'll have unique weather changes. As far as the local skiing, the conditions are looking good for a long term ski season. The problem right now is the ability to get to the ski slopes because of too much snow. Last season, 2005, we had very little snow, this season it's abundant. This summer of 06, we should not experience ANY shortage of water. Hopefully, the water resources can remain in the reservoirs until needed, not released any earlier. Stay tuned to your local Seattle weather for the updates. If we break the record of accumulated days of rain, we'll let the world know. As of now, the weather pattern projects that we should reach day 30 of consecutive days of remain. And for the upcoming Seahawks game, it's going to rain. (Perhaps they should use the Mariners Baseball Field, it has a roof.) And if the Seahawks win this game against Washington Redskins, they are one more step closer to the Super Bowl.
