Washington State attractions are plentiful. Each attraction that we list here are unique within the state, they provide an array of educational opportunities. Of the many listed we highly recommend The Pacific Science Center and the Seattle Children's Museum. We've spent many hours exploring both museums and always leave with a new learning experience. AD Gallery -Spokane - located on the Gonzaga University Campus provides a permanent collection of 15th to the 20th century prints. There are also traveling exhibits that visit. Call the museum for details: 509-328-4220. Anthropology Museum - Ellensburg - located on the Washington State University campus, a permanent display of "Art and culture of New Guinea". Call the museum for details: 509-963-3201. The Art Gallery - Longview - located on the Lower Columbia College campus are rotating exhibits featuring Northwest artists. Call the museum for details: 360-577-2314. Bellevue Art Museum - Bellevue - located right in the heart of shopping, at the mall. It features Northwest arts and crafts. Call them for the details: 425-454-3322. The Burke Museum - Seattle - located on the University of Washington campus. It features fossils, butterflies, shells. Call 206-543-5590. Catherine Montgomery Interpretive Center - Federation Forest State Park - displays floral and fauna. Call for details: 360-663-2207. Columbia River Exhibition of History, Science & Technology - Richland - this is an educational feat with hands-on displays, activities, audio-visual presentations, explore the natural history surrounding the region. Call 509-943-9000. Dry Falls Interpretative Center - Sun Lakes State Parks - illustrations of the geological features within the area, fabulous! This is one of the Washington State attractions that are really amazing, a dry river falls, there's no water! Call 509-632-5583. Ellensburg Community Art Gallery - Ellensburg - has monthly arts and crafts exhibits. Call 509-925-2670. Evergreen Galleries - Olympia - located on the Evergreen State College campus, here you'll experience a multi-media art depicting Northwest art and culture. Call 360-866-6000. FRYE Art Museum - Seattle - you'll see 19th and 20th century American & European art. Call 206-622-9250. Gallery of Art - Wenatchee - located on the Wenatchee Valley College campus, feature local, regional and national artists in rotating exhibits. Call 509-664-2521. Ginko Petrified Forest Interpretative Center - Ginko Petrified Forest State Park - located west of Vantage, east of Ellensburg, this is a fabulous walking tour of the petrified Ginko forest, one of the many unique Washington State attractions. This area represents millions of years in age. Call 509-856-2700. Goldendale Observatory - Goldendale Observatory State Park - this is the largest public telescope. Check out the heavens, call 509-773-3141. Grand Coulee Dam - Coulee Dam - the visitors centers features "water and life" exhibit, and a great understanding of how electricity is made with its history. Call 509-633-9265. Heritage House Museum - Pullman - located on the campus of Washington State University. The museum hosts African and African-American Art. Call 509-335-8681. James R. Slater Museum of Natural History - Tacoma - located on the University of Puget Sound, emphasis is on Pacific Northwest. Call 253-756-3356. Longmire Museum - Mount Rainier National Park - features stuffed wild animals, Native American works, truly a work of art. This is one the Washington State attractions the entire family will love, especially with Mt. Rainier as a back-drop. Call 360-569-2211. Maritime Heritage Center - Bellingham - a unique learning center featuring the life cycles of salmon. Outdoor Sculpture Museum - Bellingham - located on Western Washington University campus, you'll see a permanent collection of art. Call 360-676-3660. Pacific Science Center - Seattle - One of the all time favorites with hands-on exhibits. Great family fun and an educational experience. One of the BEST! Seattle Children's Museum - Seattle - Hands-on exhibits, great for the whole family! One of the best Washington State attractions. Call 206-441-1768.
